5th Annual Wahoo Classic
Sept 18 - 20, 2020
All participants in the Wahoo Classic must comply with the tournament rules as set forth by the committee.
This is a boat tournament
The tournament challenge is open from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Friday, September 18, 2020, at Jim's Pier, South Padre Island
This is a Wahoo tournament, but Dolphin Fish and Blackfin Tuna are also included.
If no Wahoo are caught, then Dolphin Fish rule, if no Dolphin Fish are caught then Blackfin Tuna rule.
Trophies will be awarded to the largest fish of each species
The Tournament will pay out:
$10,000 - 1st place Wahoo
$3,000 - 2nd place Wahoo
$2,000 - 3rd place Wahoo
$1,000 - 1st place Dolphin
$1,000 - 1st place Blackfin Tuna
Please practice conservation when possible.
Registration is from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Friday, September 18, 2020, at Jim’s Pier, South Padre Island.
All participants must register their boat by BOAT NAME
The entry fee is $350 and may be paid via pay pal or by check.

The tournament challenge is open from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on Friday, September 18th, 2020, at Jim’s Pier, South Padre Island.
Registration is from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18th, 2020, at Jim’s Pier, 211 W Swordfish, South Padre Island. .
There is a mandatory Captain’s Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18th, 2020, at Jim’s Pier, South Padre Island.
Boats may leave docks after midnight, Friday, September 18th, 2020
Lines In ----- 7:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19th, 2020.
Lines Out ----- 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19th 2020.
Dock time is 7:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19th 2020.
Weigh-in begins at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19th 2020.
The tournament will conclude at the Awards Presentation, 11:00 a.m., Sunday, September 20th, 2020, at Jim’s Pier.

You must be in person, with your fish, at the weigh station, or your boat must be north of marker #25, in the Tompkins Channel.
You may weigh-in only one of each qualifying species per boat.
Largest fish will be determined by weight, then length, then earliest time weighed in.
No mutilated fish
Monitor Channel 68 throughout the day and talk to the dock master on 68 when weighing in.
An 80 mile limit from the South Padre Island jetties, “Brazos Santigo Pass” is the fishing boundary.
27 20 000 North and 95 30 000 West will be the approximate 80 mile boundaries.
